When do Mexican petunias bloom?

Mexican petunias usually bloom from late spring through fall. In warm climates, they may flower almost year-round.

Are Mexican petunias perennials?

Yes. In warm regions, they are perennials and return each year. In colder climates, they may die back in winter but can regrow from roots in spring.

Are Mexican petunias toxic?

Mexican petunias are not known to be toxic to humans or pets. However, it’s still best to prevent animals or children from eating them.

Mexican petunia care in winter

In mild climates, they need little extra care. In colder areas, cut back dead stems after frost and mulch heavily to protect roots. Potted plants can be brought indoors before freezing temperatures.
